Cocaine worth Rs 3.5 crore seized in Delhi

Acting on a tip-off about the supply of cocaine in Delhi and nearby areas, a team of the narcotics cell nabbed Okpala James, 28, near a bus stand close to the New Delhi railway station on July 10, said Ravindra Yadav, joint commissioner (crime) of police.

The accused was carrying 310gmof qualitycocaineestimated to be worth Rs 3.5 crore, he alleged. “It is the biggest catch of the drug by the narcotic cell,” Yadav said.

James first came to India in April 2015 on a medical visa and during that visit he met a fellow Nigerian, Chi Chi B, who lured him into joining the smuggling racket.
