Twenty-four rowers from different part of the country are practising rigorously at a Rowing Federation of India national camp underway at the Upper Lake in Bhopal for Senior Asian Championship scheduled to be held in September at Pattaya. They spend about ten hours a day practising and hoping to fulfil the ultimate dream of clinching a medal in Olympics in the future. Water sports federations for kayaking, canoeing and rowing consider the Upper Lake weather condition as the best in India as the surrounding hills around the lake contribute to stable wind conditions and an ideal usage distance of almost five kilometres.
