Addressing media persons on the sidelines of his sangat darshan at Naushera Nalbanda and Foolda village, Badal said that Punjab will be ruined if the Congress or the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) are chosen.

Targeting Punjab Pradesh Congress Committee (PPCC) Captain Amrinder Singh over his recent declaration of waving of debts of farmers if given a chance to rule Punjab, Badal asked what was Amarinder doing when he was in power in Punjab and had his party’s government at the Centre?

“Did he provide benefits to Punjab’s farmers that the SAD has done by providing farmers with free power to cultivate their lands,” Badal asked.

“He(Captain) is only making false promises and AAP is also following him by doing the same thing to allure the voters of Punjab,” the chief minister added.

Irked with many surveys going against the ruling party, Badal claimed that in the last assembly elections too surveys had shown them in poor light. “But the people know what teh outcome was,” he said.

Praising Prime Minister Narinder Modi, Badal claimed that the country was in the hands of an expert who was not only doing his best for the country but was also active internationally. “He has brought back the lost glory of the nation,” Badal added.

He was accompanied by Pathankot MLA Ashwani Sharma and other senior officers from the district.
