Singer Avril Lavigne is not feeling very sympathetic towards Britney Spears, for she thinks the ‘Toxic’ star doesn’t have the strength to cope with fame.
The Canadian singer insisted that Britney’s breakdown was a sign that she doesn’t have what it takes to cope with the pressures of being a star.
“What’s happened to Britney is all down to who she is as a person. If you want a piece of this business you have to be able to deal with it,” The Sun quoted her, as saying.
“You can’t complain about the pressures, the paparazzi, the madness because that’s the job,” Lavigne added.
Avril’s statement comes just days after 25-year old Britney left the Promises rehab clinic in Malibu where she checked herself into after months of spiralling downhill.
And, while the ‘Complicated’ singer admits that she likes to party and enjoys a drink as much as Spears, she insists that the difference is that “no one really gets to know”.
