Exhibitions to watch out for Gond art
An art exhibition showcasing 60 folk and tribal art paintings and sculptures by folk artists of the Gond School of Art. Among the many masterpieces at the exhibit, there is an early painting of Durga Bai on the Bhopal Gas Tragedy. On till August 21 at the Academy of Fine Arts and Literature, 4/6, Siri Fort Institutional Area.
Money is my honey
Artist Siri Khandavilli contemplates the complex relationship between her and money. She has used imagery and symbols drawn from Hindu myth and rituals to present the art work. From 18-22 August at Visual Arts Gallery, India Habitat Centre, Lodhi Road.
A group show by eminent artists like Arpana Caur, Jayasri Burman and Sanjay Bhattacharya, exploring the theme of devotion in a contemporary context through different mediums. On till September 30 at Art Positive, F-213/B, Lado Sarai, Old MB Road.
