Discard any pre-conceived notions about art and the artists, the gallery instructs you. You might not have carried any though (we didn’t) and therefore, fail to see the point behind the opening line. But it’s still a clever spin to two sets of unrelated works.

Painter-turned-photographer Sanjay Bhattacharya, 51, focuses on giving a new visual interpretation to rust, tar, broken handles, iron locks and door hinges. His camera zooms into the unlikeliest of sites, and manages to turn them into pretty looking frames meant for drawing rooms.
Painter-photographer Pankaj Agrawal, 57, an Indore-based artist works with different material — jagged rocks, the little-known nooks and crannies beside a river bed and lends a peek into the forgotten hues of nature.
Both sets of images urge you to look at the beauty behind ordinary, everyday life and transform them onto fine photographic paper, giving a feeling of an abstract canvas.
Now, whether that would classify as ‘art’ or not might be a debatable proposition, but you might want to leave that to the audience with the above-mentioned ‘pre-conceptions’.
Don’t let this colour your decision though. We suggest you check this show out simply for the pretty sights, the delightful colours and the artistes’ keen sense of observation of their environment.
