Street style looks from recently concluded London Fashion Week
Is runway style too extreme for you? Here are looks from London streets during a men’s fashion weekfashion and trends Updated: Jun 18, 2018 14:07 IST
It wasn’t just the runway during the recent London Fashion Week: Men’s Spring/Summer 2019 that witnessed outstanding looks — matrix-styled sunglasses to oversized leather coats. The streets, too, were jostling with quite some inspo, as popular faces and fashion enthusiasts were spotted in their sartorial best and flaunting avant-garde trends. From David Gandy’s part-rugged-part-chic jacket to Richard Biedul’s oh-so ’70s suit, here’s everything that deserved a second glance.
Model Richard Biedul aced the ‘70s tailored suit with sneakers and turned heads. The tangerine number looked flattering with the blue denim shirt, unbuttoned just right for that flirtatious touch. The cap adds to that part-casual feel here.
Rise of the Matrix
Style influencer Ivan Arenas Martinez was spotted in a pair of teeny-tiny sunglasses which, of late, have taken over aviators and wayfarers. Printed shirt, leather pants, a khaki trenchcoat — he’s got the look going for him.
While dungarees might not make for a fashion-forward look, this golden piece worn by a fashion week attendee deserves a special mention. Don’t you see a bit of Pharrell Williams in there? Sunnies and sneakers complete this fun look.
Rugged yet chic
All eyes are on British model David Gandy when he steps out for a show. On one such outing, he was seen in denim combo. Giving an edge to the look was his ‘50s-inspired jacket that he wore on the shoulder.
Rocking monotone the right way was writer Jim Chapman — he went all-out ‘50s with a denim jacket and pleated pants. His style was on-point, and something that men can easily copy for an effortlessly-stylish look.
Boy next door
Grey pants! Check. White sneakers! Check. Bomber! Check. British model Paul Sculfor’s appearance during the London Fashion Week was nothing unusual, but this part-gentleman-part-dandy look never fails to fetch one compliments. It’s ideal for when you want to dress up but still give out that laid-back vibe.
Musician and fashion model Dougie Poynter wore a houndstooth jacket with a white tee and blue jeans. He kept his nerdy look intact with his rimmed glasses. Another good add-on was his choice of neckpiece. Lesson learnt? Don’t shy away from experimenting, you guys!
