5 arrested for Mysuru gang rape, assault

Five people have been arrested from Tamil Nadu’s Tirupur in connection with the gang rape of a 22-year-old student in Mysuru, Karnataka police chief Praveen Sood said on Saturday
According to the government, so far 3.95 crore people have been vaccinated in the state so far. Out of this, around 3 crore people have received the first dose, while 95 lakh people received the second dose of the vaccination. (PTI)

Karnataka resumes physical classes for senior students

In the first phase, physical classes have been reopened for students of classes 9 and 10. The government however decided not to reopen schools and PU colleges in Hassan, Chikkamagaluru, Kodagu, Dakshina Kannada, and Mysuru as the Covid-19 positivity rate is above 2%.
