"A tug of war is going on between captain of Indian cricket team MS Dhoni and team selectors", said former Indian cricketer Ajay Jadeja, who had also captained India in the limited over internationals, here on Monday.

Jadega was in the city to participate in a sports event at RKDF University. He said there are certain players who have been travelling with the team for the last six months but didn't get a single chance to make debut at the international level.

The players who are promoted by the selectors are not allowed to play matches by the captain. "Players like Ishwar Pandey, who have been selected in the national team, were not allowed to play a single match by Dhoni. This clearly shows the differences between selectors and captain of the team", said Jadeja.

"The bowlers whom our captain is allowing to play in the Indian team are performing well and we are winning the matches too. But the team selectors are not interested in selecting those players", said Jadeja.

Jadeja further said Dhoni didn't have confidence in Ishwar Pandey. Dhoni never allowed him to play a single match and never trusted him during crucial stages of matches, Jadeja added.

When asked what should be his lineup for upcoming World Cup, Jadeja said he would like to include at least two to three senior players in the team.

"Senior players like Virender Sehwag, Yuvraj Singh, Harbhajan Singh and Ashish Nehra should be included in team India as World Cup is a tournament where experience is very important. It is not like general tours, where young talents can go and learn. It is a place where team must show its best. World Cup is not to learn but it's about winning the cup", said Jadeja.

"To include these senior players, their training and practice session must start from now so that they can prepare well for World Cup", he further said.

On Indian cricket team's preparation for ICC Cricket World Cup 2015, Jadeja said there were still four months left for World Cupandd uring this period many changes will take place in the team. The ongoing tournament between India and West Indies and upcoming tri-series in Australia will make the scenario clearer, he said.

Jadeja said that the World Cup team of the country must include five best bowlers. They can be either spinners or fast bowlers. Spinners are strength of our country and they must be given appropriate space in the team, he added.

Jadeja said players like Kuldeep Yadav are special. He is different from others and it is his strength. Jadeja said inclusion of Kuldeep Yadav in team India for the World Cup will be beneficial for the team. "I feel he will work as a trump card for team India in World Cup", said Jadeja.
