Akshay Kumar’s Toilet Ek Prem Katha to release in China as Toilet Hero, check out new poster

Akshay Kumar and Bhumi Pednekar-starrer Toilet: Ek Prem Katha, will be titled Toilet Hero in China. The film will hit the theatres on June 8.

After Aamir Khan and Salman Khan impressed the audiences in China with their films, Akshay Kumar is all set for the release of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha. Also starring Bhumi Pednekar in a lead role, the film will be retitled Toilet Hero in China.

Announcing the release and sharing the China poster, trade analyst Taran Adarrsh tweeted, “IT’S CONFIRMED... #ToiletEkPremKatha to release in China on 8 June 2018... Titled #ToiletHero for the local audiences... Here’s the OFFICIAL POSTER for China... #TEPK”

Directed by Shree Narayan Singh, Toilet Ek Prem Katha is co-produced by Neeraj Pandey and Akshay. The cast also includes Anupam Kher.

Bollywood films have ben faring extremely well at the Chinese box office of late - from Dangal to Secret Superstar and Bajrangi Bhaijaan - several major movies have seen massive collections at the box office. While Dangal earned around Rs 1,850 crore, Secret Superstar registered Rs 760 crore business in China. Salman’s Bajrangi Bhaijaan collected around Rs 295.32 crore. Irrfan Khan’s Hindi Medium also collected more than Rs 150 crore.
