Actor Akshay Kumar has got feedback that the music of Toilet: Ek Prem Katha is not being promoted well.

Actor Akshay Kumar’s upcoming release Toilet: Ek Prem Katha may have got the right push with praise from none other than Prime Minister Narendra Modi who called the film, based on his Swachh Bharat Abhiyaan a ‘good effort’, sources tell us that all’s not well between the actor and his co-producers Viacom 18, and music label T-series. “Akshay is shooting in London and has got the feedback of his film’s music not getting promoted well by his co-producers. The actor is naturally upset, since it’s a strong film, and the songs have potential to do fairly well, but they are not getting promoted enough.”

“T-series and Viacom 18 seem to be taking things easy because they probably think Akshay’s star power alone can drive the film. Akshay is obviously not happy about this”, tells the source. We tried reaching the actor but he remained unavailable for comment. Toilet: Ek Prem Katha also stars Bhumi Pednekar and is based on the true story of a newly-wed woman who seeks divorce from her husband because there is no toilet facility in his home. The film is slated for release on August 11, one week after the release of Shah Rukh Khan starrer Jab Harry Met Sejal, and has a much lower publicity budget since Akshay Kumar has chosen to not take the beaten path of visiting reality TV shows to promote this film.
