Amitabh Bachchan, Shah Rukh to come together in Bhootnath Returns

They have set the screen on fire whenever they came together - be it the warring father-son duo in Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham or the lover and disciplinarian in Mohabbatein. SRK and Amitabh Bachchan are set to share screen space again in Bhootnath Returns.

They were both seen in the film, Bhoothnath (2008), but Shah Rukh Khan and Amitabh Bachchan were never in one frame, as they didn’t share screen space in the supernatural-comedy.

Before that, the two actors had worked together in Karan Johar’s Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna in 2006, Mohabbatein (2000) and Kabhi Khushi Kahbie Gham (2001).

Now, we’ve been informed that, after eight years, SRK and Big B are finally confirmed to share screen space again, in the sequel to Bhoothnath.

"Technically, they haven’t worked together since Karan’s film. Even though Shah Rukh is doing just a special appearance in this sequel, he will be seen alongside Bachchan. The scenes will be shot either on March 6 or 7. SRK’s appearance connects the two movies," says an insider.

Despite repeated attempts, Bhushan Kumar, who has co-produced the film, remained unavailable for comment. But a source close to SRK confirmed the news, saying, "Yes, Shah Rukh has agreed to do a cameo in the film, but the shoot date is yet to be finalised."

Injured SRK performs in Malaysia

Meanwhile, Shah Rukh Khan’s recent accident on the sets of Farah Khan’s upcoming film doesn’t seem to have kept him from participating in his concert tour.

The actor performed in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, along with Rani Mukerji, Madhuri Dixit and Yo Yo Honey Singh on Saturday (February 15) night.

During the performance, Shah Rukh revealed to the crowd that he is still recovering. "I have a broken leg and a broken shoulder, but my heart is intact and I’m ready to share it with you," he was quoted by the Malaysian newspaper, The Star.
