The actor is reportedly producing director R Balki’s upcoming film, in which he is starring. The project will go on the floors soon, and Bachchan will not stop financing regional movies any time soon. The actor also says that he wants to concentrate on his television projects.

"We do regional films, yes. We continue to do that. We are jointly producing the TV serial I am involved in and perhaps Jaya (Bachchan, wife) is also going to be involved in the TV serial produced by us (sic)," he says.

For now, Bachchan has his hands full as an actor, with a number of films in the pipeline. "This year, I will be very packed because, soon after Bhoothnath (Returns), there is Balki, then there is Shoojit (Sircar), then this TV serial, then KBC (game show Kaun Banega Crorepati) and then (Vidhu) Vinod Chopra’s film. Too many things. I will be doing Umesh Shukla’s film also, that will be produced by Bhushan Kumar. It can’t happen this year, so it will probably go to next year (sic)," says Bachchan.

Jaya goes regional

While Amitabh Bachchan is concentrating more on the production of his Hindi films, his wife-actor Jaya Bachchan takes a call on the regional films business of their production house. "Actually, Jaya looks after the regional side, because she is more conversant with that aspect. If she finds a story or a production that they want to make, they go ahead and make it," says Bachchan.
