Apple CEO Tim Cook has arrived at Shah Rukh Khan’s house Mannat for a private dinner. Amitabh Bachchan was also spotted arriving at the venue which is expected to host several Bollywood stars like Alia Bhatt, Parineeti Chopra and Aamir Khan.
The guest list also includes Imtiaz Ali, Parineeti Chopra, Farah Khan, Gauri Shinde, R Balki, Alia Bhatt and Varun Dhawan, among others.
Before Cook landed in India, his team had contacted Shah Rukh’s team, looking for a possibility of a meeting between the two. When the actor found out about this, he decided to host a private dinner for Cook instead of just a plain meeting. “Contrary to what has been reported, the dinner won’t be a formal sit-down affair. It will be more of an informal get-together,” said an insider.
On Wednesday, Cook began his first official visit to India by offering prayers at Mumbai’s Siddhivinayak temple, where he also met Anant Ambani, the son of Reliance Industries chairperson Mukesh Ambani.
He is expected to meet Prime Minister Narendra Modi on Saturday. He met Modi at a Silicon Valley event in the US last September, where they discussed manufacturing plans under Modi’s ‘Make in India’ initiative.
