Apparently, she was so excited to be playing a boisterous Maharashtrian girl that she decided to personally select a few saris for the role. She says, “Navvari saris are so beautiful and I had a great time selecting the prettiest ones. I also wanted to meet the sellers to pick up the finer nuances of the language and the traditional way of draping the navvari. I loved the entire experience.”

Sources from the sets say that everyone is impressed by Asin’s keen interest in learning the Marathi dialect. She was seen interacting with the Marathi-speaking crew on the sets quite often. A source associated with the film says, “When Asin arrived on the sets wearing a navvari for a sequence, all of us were awestruck. She looked beautiful and elegant. Her new look will be a total treat for her fans.”

In addition to Asin and Akshay, Khiladi 786 also stars Mithun Chakraborty, Paresh Rawal and Himesh Reshammiya in key roles. The film directed by Ashish R Mohan hits screens next month.
