“Lucknow is very close to my heart as my sasural is here. The first time I came to the city was when I was working for big brands (for TV commercials) and hence would do research as my seniors felt that Lucknow is the heart of India. They felt that we would get important public feedback which would help make the advertisement a success. Then of course I came after marriage and since then the visits have been very frequent,” she says with a smile.

When questioned about what prompted her to choose Lucknow, she says, “The film is divided in both Lucknow and Bareilly it’s just that we are starting from here. There is a lot of culture, insights and realism in our country. When you write a story on such insights it just helps when you shoot them in locations which reflect them. I like realistic cinema with a tinge of humour in it.”

When asked if the title is inspired by ‘jhumka of Bareilly’ she smiles and says, “No it’s not like that. It’s a very funny slice of life story. It’s completely opposite Nil Battey Sannata. People will

see a new side of me in the film but it will surely have a lot of fun element in it. We will take a lot of local talent (actors) in the film.”

When prodded further whether subsidy and shoot-friendly policy in UP was a factor that motivated her to come here, she quipped, “These things do help but the producers will be able to answer it in more detail. Since my story is set here so I have all the reasons to come here. If it was set in Madhya Pradesh I would have gone without caring about these factors.”

Ashwiny along with Nitesh Tiwari and Shreyash Jain have written the story for this film. Her husband Nitesh is currently directing Aamir Khan starrer-Dangal.
