Actor Sonam Kapoor has debuted her first look from the ongoing Cannes Film Festival. Sonam on Monday shared four posts on Instagram, in which she was posing ahead of her red carpet appearance.

Sonam wore a red Valentino dress in the pictures. While the first showed her posing with Chopard perfumes, the second is a full-length look at her outfit and the third is a portrait. The fourth post contains three full-length pictures of the actor. Sonam had also appeared at the 2018 edition of the prestigious festival, where she wore clothes by Vera Wang, Emilia Wickstead and her husband Anand Ahuja’s company, Bhane.

Sonam arrived in Cannes over the weekend, and was spotted wearing a beige overcoat by Bougessa, along with a Louis Vuitton handbag. She credited her look to sister and film producer Rhea Kapoor, who accompanied her to Cannes. “Bonjour de Cannes!” Sonam wrote in an Instagram story, announcing her arrival.

Sonam isn’t the only Indian present at the festival. In fact, she’s the last one to walk the red carpet. Priyanka Chopra, Deepika Padukone, Huma Qureshi, Mallika Sherawat, Hina Khan and her fellow L’Oreal ambassador, Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, have already made splashy appearances.

Just a few hours ahead of her Cannes appearance, Sonam slammed a tweet by actor Vivek Oberoi, in which he had shared a meme that seemingly made fun of Aishwarya and Salman Khan. Vivek’s tweet was met with widespread condemnation, and Sonam had called it ‘disgusting and classless’.
