Yet another small budget film has fallen prey to the Censor Board’s ire. Not just the theatrical promo of Jo Dooba So Paar. It’s Love in Bihar got altered but the film has also been allotted a U/A certificate.
“I am baffled at Censor’s decision. If we agreed to make the recommended changes then why did they give us a U/A certificate,” asks director of the film Praveen Kumar, who feels Censor Board of Film Certification is ‘partial and chaotic in their approach’. “I don’t wish to name names here, but we all know big banner films where people managed to weave a story around abuses got clearance but insignificant people like us face the fury,” adds Kumar. The board primarily had a problem with the two words, maa and ghanta, so they recommended beeping the two words from the theatrical promo that goes on air this Friday.
