Aparna Iyer, a collegiate from Bangalore — which happens to be Deepika’s hometown — is one such fan who is in touch with Deepika and her team.

An insider says, “Deepika has, on several occasions, professed her love for South Indian food, especially, the home-made rasam. As fans keep tabs on their stars’ favourites, Aparna too, knows the actor’s preferred dishes. She has met Deepika four times in the past two years, and always makes sure to bring her delicious dishes, including rasam. Aparna is in touch with Deepika’s team to make sure she doesn’t lose out on any opportunity to meet the actor in the future too.”
