Director Rohit Shetty’s much-awaited film, Bol Bachchan, which is slated to release on July 6, will have Ajay Devgn dancing with Asin in the song Chalao Na. But the duo won’t be alone. While Asin will be joined by professional dancers, Ajay, who is known to have two left feet, will be seen shaking a leg with professional pehelwans (wrestlers)!

Apparently, some of these pehelwans have been working with Rohit in action sequences since his Zameen (2003) days, while others have known him even longer. For the first time, however, they will be seen dancing together in a film.

Rohit says, “In Bol Bachchan, Ajay is a pehelwan himself. So when I thought about getting these fighters to dance, I discussed it with Ajay, and he loved the idea. I didn’t want the song to look like a typical dance number, and bringing in these guys added a fun element to it.”

Rohit adds, “This is also the first time Ajay has gone all out and danced to a song. So I thought it would be a good idea to stick to the theme of the film. Also, the audience should connect to it, as they will recognise these fighters. They’ve been part of all my previous films as well.”

In the song, the wrestlers will appear dressed in bright kurtas and lungis.

How hard was it to get them to do something like this? Rohit says, “Not hard at all. I’ve known some of them since I was an assistant director. They were happy to do it.”

Interestingly, the song ‘Chalao na’ sounds uncannily similar to ‘Bholi surat dil ke khote’ from the film Albela (1951).
