“They are pitted against each other in the film, and their on-screen chemistry is amazing,” says an insider. While Ajay plays a cable operator, named Vijay Salgaonkar, in the film, Tabu plays inspector general Meera Deshmukh, a tough cop, whose son goes missing under mysterious circumstances. The prime suspects for the crime are Vijay and his family.
Talking about her relationship with Ajay, Tabu says, “He is a genuine and honest human being. He is a childhood friend, and therefore, I have enjoyed every moment spent with him in this film.”
The 43-year-old adds that despite working with Ajay after 16 years, she felt very comfortable shooting with him. “It was like homecoming. You work with so many new people, and then you work with someone you have known for several years, someone who is so familiar [with the way you work]. And you suddenly feel the difference; this is my comfort zone, where I can be who I am,” she says.
