Actor John Abraham has turned 40 on Monday, but he says it’s just another day for him. Unlike his peers in the industry, the star has never thrown a B-Town birthday party. “I keep my birthday a low key affair. Have you ever heard of John Abraham doing a Bollywood bash? I don’t believe in loud celebrations. My birthday is like any other day and I’m happy that way,” says the actor.

2012 has been a big year for John, with his films — Housefull 2 (as an actor) and Vicky Donor (as a producer), doing well at the box office. John says he is quite gratified, on both professional and personal fronts: “I am in a very content zone.” The reason, the actor says, is his policy of keeping away from controversies. “I focus on work. I also try and make people happy around me. One thing is pretty clear: I don’t like controversy.” Ask him about his marriage plans, and a ‘shy’ John says, “I can’t comment on this. I’m a very shy and private person. I don’t speak much about it.”
