FTII stir: Students protest Gajendra Chauhan's appointment
More student organisations have come in support of the students of Film and Television Institute of India. Over 200 students protesting the appointment of actor and BJP member Gajendra Chauhan as the chairman of FTII were detained on Friday by the Delhi Police.

Besides students from FTII, others from Jawaharlal Nehru University, Delhi University and Delhi Technological University also joined in the protest.
They held a demonstration outside the ministry of information and broadcasting at Shastri Bhavan here.
"FTII is being saffronised and people close to the BJP are being appointed as heads of cultural and art institutions," said Kisley, a FTII student.
