Gold: Sports has been a big part of my life, says Amit Sadh

Gold is a sports drama directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. This will be the second time after Sultan that he would be seen starring in the same genre.

Amit Sadh, who will be seen sharing screen space with Akshay Kumar in the upcoming film Gold, says he loves sports and it has been a big part of his life. Gold is a sports drama directed by Reema Kagti and produced by Ritesh Sidhwani and Farhan Akhtar under the banner Excel Entertainment. This will be the second time after Sultan that he would be seen starring in the same genre.

Amit Sadh was last seen in Running Shaadi.

Asked if sports based films interests him, Amit said, “I love sports and it’s been a big part of my life. It’s a world that I am familiar with and feel happy to be in. There’s no better triumph story than one in a sports environment.”

The film will also mark the Bollywood debut of popular TV actor Mouni Roy. The film is about India’s first Olympic medal win as a free nation in the year 1948 at the 14th Olympic Games at London. It will release on Independence Day in 2018.
