Actor Irrfan Khan looks happy and healthy in the latest picture shared by filmmaker Homi Adajania from the sets of Angrezi Medium. Irrfan can be seen playing gully cricket with the film’s cinematographer in the picture.

Irrfan is the batsmen while Anil Mehta is the wicket keeper. The wickets are planted inside a flower pot in true gully cricket style. Irrfan is seen dressed in a grey shirt, purple pants and sneakers, intently looking to hit the ball. “Can we shoot please?,” Homi wrote with the picture.

Angrezi Medium is the sequel to the widely appreciated 2017 entertainer Hindi Medium. Irrfan played the role of a rich businessman from Delhi. Pakistani actor Saba Qamar starred alongside Irrfan in the film.

Film’s producer Dinesh Vijayan confirmed Kareena’s role on the show. “Kareena is a great addition to our franchise. Angrezi Medium is a very special film, and I’m excited that she’s going to be a part of it. We wanted to introduce this character who would be taken forward in the franchises to come, and she’s perfect for it,” Vijan said in a statement.

“Here, she plays a cop -- a role she’s actually never done before. We will be shooting in London this June, and it will be great to be back on set with her,” he added.

Angrezi Medium marks the comeback of Irrfan on big screen post a break that he took, as he was seeking treatment for a neuroendocrine tumour in London. He will be playing a ‘mithai wala’ in the film.
