Kunal Kapoor goes muscular, gains 12 kg for his next film
The Rang De Basanti actor followed a tough workout regime to look muscular for his new project.
Although actor Kunal Kapoor has always maintained a fit and muscular body, his next project required him to gain weight. So the 38-year-old underwent tough training sessions and gained 12 kgs.

“I have been training intensely for the last six months. I have always been fit but this is the fittest and the most muscular I have ever been. I play a warrior in the film and I hope my hard work gets noticed,” says Kapoor, who has been part of films such as Rang De Basanti (2006), Bachna Ae Haseeno (2008) and Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana (2012).
The actor went through intensive workout sessions, as he was required to lose weight for a certain duration and then gain it back.

“The trilingual film will feature Kunal as Chandu Chekavar, the infamous warrior. Kunal has also learned the art of Kalaripayattu for this particular role,” says a source.

“He keeps gymming till late in the night, and is also following the strict diet regime recommended by his nutritionist,” adds the source.
