The first trailer of the long-awaited Hindi film Mohalla Assi is finally out! Going by the looks of it, it’s going to be one hilarious film.

Based on a novel by noted Hindi writer Kashi Nath Singh, Mohalla Assi focuses on the life of a middle class family that earns its bread and butter by organising religious rituals. Played by Sunny Deol, the film’s lead character is a guy who likes to use cuss words in his daily conversations. Sakshi Tanwar plays his innocent wife who doesn’t understand why foreigners are so much interested in Varanasi.

The film’s milieu looks different from the usual Hindi films as it’s humorous despite being full of swear words. Ravikishan is also an important part of the film.

Directed by Dr Chandra Prakash Dwivedi, Mohalla Assi is expected to hit the screens in October, 2015.
