“I could hold my own despite the presence of Priyanka Chopra and Kangana Ranaut. When I signed Fashion, many people warned me saying it was a third lead. They said: 'You will get wiped out, you should do a solo film'. But I knew the role, I knew director Madhur Bhandarkar, and I knew the film. I did Fashion and I'm happy where I am today. All the people who said all the things to me have got their answer.”

She also says that female actors don’t keep fighting all the time, as is reported in the media. “It's a myth that actors can't get along while doing a film together. We three - Priyanka, Kangana and I -- got along really well. Priyanka used to tease me by calling me, 'Debutante-debutante' and all. She would say, 'Arre debutante kahan hai hamari (laughs)?' She taught me how to put glycerine. Later when I worked with Bipasha during All The Best, I found her also to be so chilled out.”

After Fashion, Mugdha worked with Bhandarkar in Jail. “I don't think I stand a chance (of a third film in a row). I want to work with others, too. I don't feel upset that I am not in his forthcoming films. I feel privileged because I worked with him in two films, consecutively. I am not greedy.”
