Neil Nitin Mukesh is playing a pivotal character in Abbas-Mustan's next, the Indian remake of the 2003 smash hit, The Italian Job. Titled, Player, the film is shot in the Russian city of Murmansk where extreme weather conditions brought the cast and crew to their knees.
The actor was in such awe of the film crew for their dedication on the sets that he ordered customised Mini Cooper pen drives for the entire crew to take away as a souvenir as a gesture of thanking them for their outstanding work.
The car that featured in the 2003 film is a Mini Cooper S version coloured with matte gray wrap, with two matte black racing stripes going up the hood towards the full matte black roof, racing lines and “01? number on the doors. The actor had a great time driving and maneuvering the new Players version of the car through the action sequences in the film.
The crew that had developed a special bond with Neil and found their ‘Mini Drives’ with the Players’ logo on it really cute.
Neil stars along with Abhishek Bachchan, Bipasha Basu, Sonam Kapoor and Sikander Kher in the film, which is arguably the most eagerly awaited release of 2012.
