In 2017, Nora featured in Punjabi singer Harrdy Sandhu’s single Naah, which has over 100 million plus views on YouTube alone. Apparently, her looks and screen persona, coupled with her dancing skills, have struck the right chord with not only the audience but also Punjabi filmmakers. Nora agrees that the song with Harrdy Sandhu has opened more doors for her, and says, “I’m excited that I can now explore a new avenue, as an actor. Punjabi films, today, are doing so well globally, and the offers I am getting right now are very lucrative.”

Considering that Nora is a trained dancer and has done dance numbers in films such as Rocky Handsome (2016) and Baahubali: The Beginning (2015), one wonders if she would take up a similar route in Punjabi film industry? She says, “I’d like to act in Punjabi films and do some great roles, instead of just dance sequences. I’ve been interested in being a part of Punjabi films for quite some time now, so I’d definitely like to enter the industry as an actor with a full-fledged role.”

So what kind of scripts is she eyeing ? “I am keen to work in romantic stories and dramas. There are a lot of really good Punjabi films with great content pertaining to family drama, romance and history. Having said that, content is key,” says Nora.

On how does she plan to get familiar with the language, the actor quips, “Well, I have picked up on some Punjabi of late, and when my friends speak the language, I can actually understand what they are saying. I haven’t learnt how to speak it yet but I am keen to. Also, since I can speak five languages, I’m sure it won’t be too hard to learn Punjabi too.”
