Priyanka prioritises education

The actress explains the importance of prioritising their studies to a group of girls

Priyanka Chopra was in for a surprise recently when she left her Andheri home for the sets of Bajirao Mastani, which is directed by Sanjay Leela Bhansali. A group of 20 girls were waiting outside her building, just to catch a glimpse of her.

A source close to the actor says, “As she was heading out, the security team informed her about the group that had been waiting for her. Priyanka was in a hurry, but she spared some time to meet them. It turned out that they had travelled for three hours from Pune. They had bunked college just to see her.”

While most celebrities would be overwhelmed by such a gesture from their fans, Priyanka apparently chided the girls. “She has been associated with campaigns to support the education of the girl child. So she explained to them the importance of prioritising their studies,” says the source.

Though Priyanka remained unavailable for a comment, her spokesperson confirmed the story.
