Despite getting an average opening last weekend, the Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh-starrer Goliyon Ki Raasleela Ram-Leela will need to improve this week to recover money, feel analysts. “There were problems just before the release but it opened decently and it did reasonably well in the first three days,” says trade analyst Amod Mehra.

However, the collections witnessed a setback at the start of this week. “Monday saw a dip. If the slump continues through the week, it would be difficult for the makers to recover money,” opines Mehra.

The film, which, according to the analyst, was made on a rough budget of Rs 80 crore, has only collected Rs 53.29 crore so far. But good overseas collections might make up for the loss here, he adds. “It has done reasonably well in the international markets. In India, however, it has fared badly in single screens. Also, it has been a disaster in West Bengal and Bihar.”
