Filmmaker Karan Johar, whose films are often tagged as over-the-top dramas, says that real life is more dramatic than what is seen in films.

“Let me tell you that in our real lives there is more drama than our films. If you hear our real life stories, you’ll realise that we make very subtle stories. There is a lot of drama off-screen,” the 40-year-old said.

Some of Karan’s films include Kuch Kuch Hota Hai (1998), Kabhi Khushi Kabhi Gham (2001), Kal Ho Na Ho (2003), and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna (2006).
