A source close to the film reveals, “The fact that the images were leaked didn’t go down too well with Sanjay. Though the images weren’t very clear, he was angry because he doesn’t want anyone to know what the set looks like or about everything that he has planned for the film.” And it’s for the same reason, the source says, that Bhansali has banned the usage of cell phones on the sets.

“Sanjay has asked his entire unit, including the lead actors, Deepika Padukone and Ranveer Singh, to not use their mobiles while shooting. He does not want another fiasco and has made it clear that whoever enters the sets will have to switch off their phones. He does it himself now, which is why he’s unavailable most of the times,” the source says.

Recently, even Milan Luthria had banned the use of phones to avoid photo leaks on the sets of Once Upon A Time In Mumbaai 2, in Oman.
