In her four-year-long career, Sonakshi Sinha has been part of several action films — Dabangg (2010), Dabangg 2 (2012), Rowdy Rathore (2012), R... Rajkumar (2013), and Holiday: A Solder Is Never Off Duty, among others. But the Bollywood actor has never had a chance to perform extensive stunts in these movies herself. It’s the male lead actors who end up shooting the action sequences.
So, when she was approached for south director AR Murugadoss’s upcoming woman-centric action film, Sonakshi was thrilled about it. However, if her current schedule is anything to go by, she is going to have to wait till next year to start working on this film.
Initially, it was reported that the film would go on the floors this month. But now it has been postponed to early next year. An insider reveals, "Sonakshi’s schedule is packed till the second week of January as she will be busy promoting three of her films simultaneously, including one Tamil film. After that she will begin a month-long training session to prepare for her action-oriented role in Murugadoss’s film. She will only start shooting for the film after that."
Meanwhile, Murugadoss is also making the most of this time by fine-tuning the script. "Murugadoss didn’t want to rush into the film. He also didn’t mind starting it next year as his last Tamil film (starring Vijay and Neil Nitin Mukesh) has just released, and it would be taxing for him to work on another film right away," informs the source.
Recently, reports revealed that Akshay Kumar would be seen in a cameo performance in the film.
We tried contacting Sonakshi as well as the production house backing Murugadoss’s film, but they both remained unavailable for comments.
