Looks like Bollywood actor Arjun Rampal has failed to impress both critics and the audience with his latest outing, Daddy. After opening to critical reviews on Friday, the film managed to collect a meagre Rs 4.5 crore over the first weekend while Sunny Deol’s Poster Boys raked in a total of Rs 7.25 crore in the first three days of the release.
Poster Boys ruled the box office this weekend while Arjun Rampal’s Daddy had a slow run.
Taran Adarsh tweeted the figures for Poster Boys. “#PosterBoys showed good growth over the weekend, but the weekend total remains on the lower side... #PB. #PosterBoys Fri 1.75 cr, Sat 2.40 cr, Sun 3.10 cr. Total: ₹ 7.25 cr. India biz,” he wrote.
On other other hand, Ashim Ahluwalia’s Daddy, based on the life of gangster-turned-politician Arun Gawli, earned Rs 1.25 crore on day one and Rs 1.5 crore and Rs 1.75 crore on the following days, according to a Boxofficeindia report.
Poster Boys is a remake of Marathi film Poshter Boyz. The film has Sunny Deol, Bobby Deol and Shreyas Talpade in the lead roles.
