Producer Ramesh Taurani clears the air about Deepika Padukone, who is now a part of his ambitious venture Race 2 directed by Abbas Mastan after many differences. He says, “Whatever issues we’ve had, we sat across the table and solved it before our Turkey schedule. The shoot has been going great and we really enjoyed working with Deepika. She will emerge as the surprise element in the film”.

The producer is also all praise for the actor’s professionalism. “Never mind what time we’d pack-up at the end of the day, she’d be ready with the makeup and all on the dot the next morning. Deepika is a very good actress no doubt, but she also works as hard in her preparations for the part. I must say I’m impressed with her sincerity and dedication.”

Taurani slammed Deepika for leaving Race 2 citing date problems. He had earlier said in an interview, “She is unethical, unprofessional and unacceptable. I have been a part of the industry for 25 years. I have worked with top heroines but I have never faced a situation like this before. We have filed a complaint against her and we are looking for a replacement.”
