Varun Dhawan teams up with Karan Johar, Shashank Khaitan again for Rannbhoomi

Varun Dhawan is teaming up with his ‘Dulhania’ team for a war film, Rannbhoomi. It has a release date of more than 2.5 years later.

Varun Dhawan is getting back with his ‘favourite’ team to deliver yet another hit perhaps. The actor shared a picture with director Shashank Khaitan and producer Karan Johar on Monday, revealing their next project, Rannbhoomi.

“#RANNBHOOMI. Diwali 2020. A warrior will rise.@karanjohar @ShashankKhaitan @DharmaMovies,” Varun tweeted with the picture of the three (and a lot of denim). Varun has already worked with Khaitan on Humpty Sharma Ki Dhulhania and Badrinath Ki Dulhania.

Rannbhoomi will be Varun’s first war-themed film. Talking about their collaboration, Karan said, “RANNBHOOMI is Shashank’s colossal and ambitious imagination to attempt a hat-trick with Varun and Dharma. Shashank & Varun make an epic blend of creative and commercial extravaganza and that is exactly what Dharma Productions’ vision for the coming few projects is. Very excited to bring them together again for this Diwali 2020 epic tale.”

Varun is currently shooting for Sui Dhaga with Anushka Sharma and Shoojit Sircar’s October. Khaitan, meanwhile, is busy with Janhavi Kapoor and Ishaan Khatter’s Bollywood debut film, Sairat.
