The collage shows Vivek in both youthful and older looks, sporting different hairdos for different phases in the PM’s life. “PM Narendra Modi the film will traverse the journey of Narendra Damodardas Modi from his humble beginnings to his years as Gujarat Chief Minister onto his landmark win at the 2014 election and finally being nominated as the Prime Minister of India,” director Kumar said in a statement. Kumar has previously helmed biopics such as Mary Kom and Sarbjit.
The film’s producer, Sandip Ssingh had previously said that “Vivek gave 15 look tests that needed 7-8 hours of make up each day. When an actor shows this dedication for the film, the filmmaker and the whole crew is extremely enthusiastic and encouraged to make the film.”
The Modi biopic also stars Boman Irani, Manoj Joshi, Prashant Narayanan, Zarina Wahab, Barkha Sengupta and Anjan Shrivastav. Another project - a web series - will be produced on the same subject.
