Shaandaar's song Gulaabo has been sung by Vishal Dadlani and Anusha Mani and has music by Amit Trivedi.

The first song of Alia Bhatt-Shahid Kapoor-starrer Shaandaar was released with much fanfare on Thursday evening. Titled Gulaabo, it is a peppy number where we see Alia and Shahid having a midnight party amidst a countryside set-up after they sneak out of the wedding house. The song also features Shahid's step sister Sanah Kapoor. Shaandaar is Vikas Bahl's latest directorial venture, with destination wedding being the premise of the story.

The lead pair performed live at the launch of the song. Shahid also shared a small video of the performance on his Instagram account.

Anvita Dutt has written the lyrics for the song and Vishal Dadlani and Anusha Mani have lent their voices to the number. Anvita, who has also written the screenplay and dialogues for the film, has earlier given us quirky numbers like London Thumakda and Jugni from Kangana Ranaut-starrer Queen (2014). Gulaabo's lyrics, too, has the makings of a hit song. Sample this: "Tauba tauba tu to meetha sa murabba, tauba tauba tu to shahad ka dabba". Amit Trivedi has composed the music.

With its peppy music, quirky lyrics and stylish stars onscreen, the song has already created a buzz online with #Gulaabo trending on Twitter India on day of its launch.

Shaandaar has another much-anticipated rock and roll number: it will be a new version of Kishore Kumar's Eena Meena Deeka, composed by Mikey McCleary, who is known for his remixes of classic Bollywood songs. The video was shot during the course of the film's schedule.

Shaandaar is produced by Fox Star Studios, Dharma Productions & Phantom Production. The film that also stars Pankaj Kapur in a pivotal role, is set to hit theatres on October 22.
