Actor Priyanka Chopra was in India to attend the wedding of her brother Siddharth Chopra, which has now been postponed, say reports. The actor was seen leaving for the US on Tuesday.
Actor Priyanka Chopra had come to India for the wedding of her brother Siddharth Chopra, which has now been postponed. A report in Mumbai Mirror says Siddharth’s fiance Ishita Kumar had to undergo an emergency surgery just before the ceremony that was slated to take place during the weekend.
A source told the daily, “There are rumours that the wedding has been called off but it is not true. Ishita needs some time to recuperate from the surgery and the families are looking for another mahurat.”
Priyanka had earlier welcomed Ishita into the family by sharing a picture from their roka ceremony. She had captioned the picture, “So proud of my baby brother. Ishita welcome to the family...you are so beautiful together...I wish you both the best for the future! Happy Roka!! @ishittaakumar @siddharthchopra89.”
Priyanka was spotted at the Mumbai airport on Monday night in an all white look as she left for home to be with husband Nick Jonas. The actor had spent quality time with her family and friends during her short stay. Many pictures of her dinner with her family, her girls’ night out at friend Isha Ambani’s residence and her fun time with cousin Parineeti Chopra can be found on her Instagram page.
She had also cast her vote on Monday, post which she visited her mother Madhu Chopra’s office in Mumbai. She shared a few pics on her Instagram confirming the same. She had also written a note for her mother that read, “One of the greatest individual challenges we face in our lives is the ability to constantly evolve as people and professionals. It means pushing yourself to challenge the status quo. It’s something I work towards everyday with everything I do. And it’s a lesson from my mother Dr. @madhumalati. She has constantly reinvented herself in the pursuit to be her best self in her many roles from a physician in the army, to a film producer, an entrepreneur to a daughter, wife, sister, mother and a friend.
And today was no different. She took yet another step in her professional journey with a new addition to her successful venture @studio_aesthetique.
