Varun Dhawan has been travelling extensively, for the last few weeks to promote his next. A source close to the actor says that on June 12, Varun had to run to the domestic airport to catch a flight to Jaipur, Rajasthan. Apparently, the actor, who had to board a morning flight, got stuck in traffic on the Western Express Highway (WEH).

“Due to incessant rain and peak office hours, Varun got stuck in traffic on the WEH. Because of the slow-moving traffic, Varun decided to get off the car, and run to the airport, which was not very far. He was worried that he would run out of time to check in if he waited,” says the source.

Though the airport was not very far from where Varun started running, apparently, he had to cover a considerable distance within the airport premises to reach the terminal. “The unexpected run was quite amusing for him as well as the onlookers. In fact, a couple of fans also offered their umbrellas to him as it was raining. However, Varun managed to board the flight,” adds the source.

When contacted, Varun confirmed the news.
