The Jaguar singer SukhE loves performing in Delhi. He says he feels at home in the Capital.

We recently bumped into Punjabi rapper-singer Sukhdeep Singh aka SukhE at an event in the Capital. We asked the singer of hits like Jaguar about the city he loves performing in and this is what he had to say.

“Delhi, without any doubt! And the reason behind it is that Mumbai aur Punjab mein sare log ussi jagah (city) ke hote hai. Par Dilli mein, sare cultures ke log aate hain (Cities like Mumbai and Punjab have local people who are familiar with Punjabi, but Delhi is very cosmopolitan, it has people from different backgrounds and cultures),” he said.

Singer-rapper SukhE loves performing in Delhi. He feels the crowd here “never gets tired of grooving to” his beats.

The Punjabi rapper, however, added that despite being from different parts of the country, those living in Delhi love the Punjabi language and spirit. “Delhi mein mixed crowd hota hai, most of them are Punjabis, at least in spirit. Jo Delhi wale hote hain, woh bhi dil se aadhe Punjabi hote hain. The crowd is fun here and they never get tired of grooving to the beats. That’s what I love about Delhiites. Their spirit is contagious,” he said.
