Marvel has released images of its new comic character, a female Thor.
Marvel editor Wil Moss in a statement that since the words engraved on Thor's hammer say "Whosoever holds this hammer, if HE be worthy, shall possess the power of Thor".

The role of the male hero would now be taken by a woman, Fox News reported.
