The books opens at Christmas time in a shopping mall, with Minnie screaming ‘miiiiine’ at everything. Against the backdrop of Bank of London gone bust, Becky juggles a potentially shopaholic child, recession effected clientele, and the 1,909,209 people who know about Luke’s surprise party. Though her dramatic endings have become a tad predictable, Kinsella’s quirky insights and wit keep you coming back, even for a fifth serving.
