The incident happened outside Mumbai’s Lilavati hospital on Monday, where Salman had gone to visit ailing actor Dilip Kumar. However, owing to a large crowd outside the hospital, Salman decided not to venture out of his car. As Salman was driving away, his car was caught in the traffic, and he saw Hamid clicking his pictures. Miffed over this act, Salman opened his car window, asked Hamid to hand over his mobile and then threw it on the road.

Speaking to HT City, Hamid says, “Main toh apne dost ke father ko milne Lilawati gaya tha. Maine Salman ko uski car ki front seat par baithe dekha, so I went near him to take a picture of him on my mobile. But to my surprise, he snatched my phone and banged it on the ground. Mujhe bahut bura laga. Pata nehi kyun itna gussa kyun hai unmein. Meri nazaron mein unki respect bahut kam ho gayi hai. He should not misbehave with fans.”

Does he want to file a police complaint against the star, we asked him. “Nahi. maine koi action nahi liya. Sab ne kahan Salman se panga mat lena,” says Hamid.
