After the leap Chitrashi will play Jwalamukhi, daughter of Chandramukhi Chautala (played by Kavita Kaushik). “I feel privilege to play this role. She is a shy girl, who turns into a super woman whenever she sees atrocities committed against women. It was challenging to play this role as I am not fluent in Haryanvi,” she says.
Ask her if she feel any pressure that comes with the replacement and she says, “I don’t feel any pressure. I know Kavita did an excellent job. The pressure that I have is to deliver my best.
I’m going play this character my way.” So does she fear being typecast as a Haryanvi girl? “I’ve realised that whatever I do, everyone will still remember me as Komal from Chak De! and I’m fine with it,” she says. On her personal life she says, “I am single and very happy, I want to completely focus on my work and career now. There is a lot that I want to achieve.”
