King of rap Badshah picks his five favourite rappers for Brunch!
Badshah has his favourite rappers, both Indian and international, listed here. Who’s your favourite?
1. Naezy
Naezy, because he brought out a whole new genre of ‘galli flow’. He brought Mumbai on the national map of rapping with galli flow, and I like that.
2. Sikander Kahlon
I think he’s the best Punjabi rapper out there. He’s not a gangster, he’s just a hustler from Mohali who goes to college, comes back home, raps. He has also been recognised internationally.
3. Raftaar
Raftaar is a trendsetter. He has taken rapping up a notch with songs like Swag Mera Desi and blurred the line between underground rap and commercial rap brilliantly.
4.Kendrick Lamar
Kendrick is a story, he’s a case study. West Coast didn’t have a rapper for a long time after Tupac, and Kendrick’s lyrics, his delivery is amazing. He put West Coast back on the map.
5. Drake
Drake is an all-time favourite. He’s just dope! He’s been on the billboards for eight years ever since he came into the rapping game and he is always going to be a favourite.
