GE, L&T partner to manufacture subsea gear

MUMBAI: US major GE has signed a pact with engineering firm Larsen & Toubro to manufacture subsea equipment for future deepwater projects in the Krishna-Godavari

MUMBAI: US major GE has signed a pact with engineering firm Larsen & Toubro to manufacture subsea equipment for future deepwater projects in the Krishna-Godavari basin. Spread over an area of 600,000 sq metre and an annual capacity of 50,000 million tonnes, L&T’s modular fabrication unit in Tamil Nadu will be used for production. The plant is equipped with advanced welding and fabrication capabilities along with a 150-metre jetty.
