BSE derivatives trading volume crosses Rs. 1-lakh crore mark

Premier stock exchange BSE Ltd has said trading volume of its derivatives crossed Rs 1 lakh crore mark today.

Premier stock exchange BSE Ltd has said trading volume of its derivatives crossed Rs 1 lakh crore mark on Wednesday.

The BSE derivatives trading registered a turnover of Rs 1,08,933.86 crore with 42,47,023 contracts traded on Wednesday, an exchange statement said here.

The Index Future registered a turnover of Rs 1,538.38 crore with 60,892 contract traded today. The Index Option (call) posts a turnover Rs 93,099.69 crore and Index Option (put) clocked a turnover of Rs 14,295.68 crore.

In the futures segment, Sensex (futures contracts-current month) turnover stood at Rs 1,328.02 crore and Nifty's (futures contracts-current month) at Rs 7,893.61 crore.

In the options segment, turnover of Sensex (options contracts-current month) stood at Rs 1,07,391.62 crore and that of Nifty (options contracts-current month) at Rs 1,07,160.73 crore, the release said.
